JESUS MENOCAL SR.
Jesus “Jessie” Menocal Sr. has over 33 years of active law enforcement experience. He served as Chief of Police in a South Florida municipality for 10 ½ years and remains an active law enforcement officer with a local municipality. Since 1987, Jessie has been an active instructor for the Police Academy and was instrumental in the development and implementation of the active shooter curriculum. He also brings his expertise in active shooter protocols to the private sector as well. Jessie is an NRA certified firearms instructor. During his career, he has organized and hosted the SWAT Commanders meeting for various Federal, State and local agencies. He is a subject-matter expert in firearms, defensive tactics and Tactical SWAT Operations organizing numerous SWAT classes over the course of his career. He has extensive experience with multi-agency task forces and collaboration with various law enforcement agencies in joint operations. Additionally, Jessie provides teaching in the private sector, offering several courses ranging from basic self-defense, firearms fundamentals, and gun safety to the more advanced specialized courses as well as training for security officers. Jessie is a graduate of Union Institute and University, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.
JONATHAN MENOCAL
Jonathan Menocal is an active law enforcement officer with one of the largest local law enforcement agencies in South Florida and is currently assigned to their full-time Special Response Team. Jonathan has a wealth of tactical experience in the criminal justice field along with hands-on experience in private sector security. He provides instruction in tactical and advanced firearms specialized courses in addition to one-one-one training. Jonathan is well versed in special ops training, including special response, high risk tactics, incident containment, rapid deployment and active shooter. He is a NRA and FDLE certified firearms instructor as well as an active competitive shooter in USPSA where he holds the rank of Grand Master in the Limited Optic Division. Jonathan is a graduate of Florida International University, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.
David Palma
David Palma is an active law enforcement officer with one of the largest local law enforcement agencies in South Florida and is currently assigned to their special response team. He has trained under Menocal International Training for 6 years prior to becoming an assistant instructor and has demonstrated he is not only proficient with his firearms skills, but an effective instructor as well. David is certified in Special Response Team, Priority Response Team, Incident Containment Team , and Active shooter/threat. David is an active competitive shooter in USPSA where he holds the rank of A class in the Limited Optic Division.
Ignacio Menocal
Ignacio “Iggy” Menocal has over 35 years of active law enforcement experience. He is an active law enforcement officer with a municipality in South Florida. During his career, Iggy has been a member of his department’s K-9 team, special response team as well as other specialized units. He has broad knowledge and experience in the field of law enforcement. Iggy has been an active instructor for the Police Academy for many years and specializes in firearms training, defensive tactics, active shooter, tactical training and security officer training. He is a NRA certified firearms instructor.
Jessica Menocal
Jessica Menocal is an active law enforcement officer with a municipality in South Florida. She provides instruction in concealed weapons permits and one-on-one shooting basics, among other courses and also serves as range safety officer. Jessica has grown up in a law enforcement family and is an avid hunter and proficient shooter, practicing both sports for over 25 years. Jessica brings a female perspective with her experience, skills and knowledge base. She is well versed in firearms nomenclature, gun safety and shooting skills. Jessica is also a NRA certified firearms instructor.
Michael Mendez
Michael “Mikey” Mendez is a United States veteran who served in the United States Marine Corp during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. He has over 18 years of active law enforcement experience with one of the largest local law enforcement agencies in South Florida. Throughout his time as a law enforcement officer, Mikey has been assigned to various units which include, but are not limited to the Robbery Intervention Detail, Narcotics Unit, and Homicide Task Force. He is also a sworn Task Force Officer for the United States Marshals Service. Currently, he is assigned to the Priority Response Team focusing on active shooter situations and managing threat incidents.
